I think our magazine cover is very eye catching however when first looking at the image it would be rather difficult to be able to tell what kind of magazine it is which links to the mystery given by the model. This will hopefully make the customer pick it up to read more about it and possibly enjoy it and therefore they buy it. It is a very dark magazine cover so you know that the main story might be a bad one which will attract more the male population. Another feature that will attract the reader is that the model is looking straight out at the customer with a sinister look on his face. This will make the purchaser feel as if they are being addressed by the model which will make them feel more involved. The badge on Sam’s cloak and all the headings are all the same colours to make the cover all link together. The silver and green dots around the frame of the cover add to the more magical effect. Also they are there to frame the model and make him stand out more. It is a very minimalized front cover with very little writing and images on it. My sub-headings are all quite interesting for the target audience and will make them want to read about it. The way we’ve set it out is that the last thing the customer should see before they turn the page is the title “sixty second snitch snatch.” The alliteration will intrigue the reader and also they might be wondering what it’s about so they might buy it to read on. The main target audience is probably boys between the age 10-17 because magic might not appeal to adults and the darkness will make it more aimed at the male gender.
